All Archer characters, episodes, quotes, images, audio, and intellectual property are © their respective owners. This site operates under fair use provisions for commentary, criticism, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research (17 U.S.C. § 107).

What we do NOT host:

  • Full episodes or video streams
  • Full episode scripts
  • Soundtrack recordings
  • Official promotional materials beyond fair-use thumbnails

🎯 Mission

This archive exists to celebrate 14 seasons (2009–2023) of one of television's smartest, funniest, and most densely layered animated comedies. Archer rewards rewatching like few shows — every episode is packed with callbacks, running gags, literary references, and visual details that deserve documentation.

Our goals:

  • Provide the most accurate, well-organized episode guide online
  • Document every running gag with origin, variations, and recurrence data
  • Create searchable, shareable quote cards for the community
  • Map the show's complex lore: organizations, timelines, alternate universes
  • Offer high-quality, era-themed downloads for fans
  • Remain fast, accessible, privacy-respecting, and free forever

  • Framework: Astro 5 (Static Site Generation)
  • Language: TypeScript (strict mode)
  • Styling: Custom CSS with CSS Custom Properties (no framework)
  • Content: Astro Content Collections (Markdown + JSON)
  • Search: MiniSearch (client-side, build-time index)
  • Images: Astro Assets + Sharp (WebP/AVIF optimization)
  • Fonts: Agency FB + IBM Plex Sans/Mono (Google Fonts)
  • Hosting: Cloudflare Pages (Free tier)
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions
  • PWA: Service Worker + Web Manifest (offline-first)

Performance targets: Lighthouse ≥ 95 Performance, 100 Accessibility, 100 Best Practices, 100 SEO. Total JS < 15KB gzipped.

♿ Accessibility

We strive for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across all pages:

  • Semantic HTML5 structure with proper heading hierarchy
  • Full keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, Escape, Arrow keys)
  • Focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • ARIA labels and roles where needed
  • Color contrast ratios ≥ 4.5:1 in all themes
  • prefers-reduced-motion respected (animations disabled)
  • prefers-color-scheme supported (light/dark variants)
  • Screen reader tested (NVDA, VoiceOver)
  • Skip-to-content link on every page

🔒 Privacy

  • No analytics — We don't track you. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no cookies.
  • No third-party scripts — Only first-party code runs. Fonts are self-hosted via Google Fonts preconnect.
  • No user accounts — No login, no personal data collected.
  • localStorage only — Theme preference stored locally in your browser, never sent to any server.
  • Cloudflare Pages — Hosting provider may log standard HTTP access logs (IP, timestamp, resource). We don't access these.

This is a community project. Contributions welcome via GitHub Pull Requests:

  • Missing quotes: Add to src/content/quotes/quotes.json with source (season/episode/timestamp)
  • Episode corrections: Edit src/content/episodes/ Markdown files
  • Character stats: Update src/content/characters/ JSON with citations
  • New running gags: Add to src/content/gags/gags.json
  • Lore articles: Add Markdown to src/content/lore/
  • Images/audio: Submit via GitHub Issue with source attribution

Content guidelines:

  • All facts must be verifiable (cite episode/timecode)
  • Images: promotional stills only, downscaled, attributed
  • Audio: ≤ 5 seconds, transformative context (fair use)
  • No spoilers in titles/descriptions without warning
